The foundation of the Italian subsidiary, Martin Italia, in 1992 was associated with two goals: the systematic strengthening of Martin’s market position in the various product groups, and the consolidation of Martin’s market leadership in Italy through competent employees and sales partners.
Both objectives could be reached within just a few years. Thanks to the intensive, user-oriented and therefore successful consulting work of our area managers and product specialists, market shares increased continuously across all product segments. Today, the name of “Martin” is a synonym for quality and innovation in Italian hospitals.
Measures of great popularity among many professional groups are the training and advanced training courses Martin Italia offers to its customers every year. The participants include administrative personnel, physicians, OR staff, CSSD employees, etc. Even though these courses take place at Gebrüder Martin’s premises in Tuttlingen, they are in high demand. The readiness of participants to put up with a 10-hour journey can be considered excellent proof for unbroken trust in KLS Martin’s know-how and expertise.
The office started out with a staff of three in Sesto San Giovanni, an industrial part of the city of Milan. Today, ten colleagues are working at the new office at Agrate Brianza, located on the periphery of the metropolis, halfway between the city and Lecco (Lake Como). Martin Italia’s turnover more than doubled in recent years.
