This concept covers all fields of modern OMF surgery. It includes modules for traumatology, orthognathy, craniofacial surgery, neurosurgery, mandibular reconstruction and cranial base surgery, not forgetting oculoplastic surgery.
In a first step, you choose between preconfigured and free storage modules for your osteosynthesis material. The various storage systems can then be quickly and conveniently filled with our new screw clip magazines. The screw packages are color-coded according to screw diameter and each clip contains five screws. The clip magazines can be directly hung into the storage rack, sparing you the time-consuming sorting in of screw after screw.
The storage modules are also available as preconfigured solutions recommended for specific applications. However, if a module does not fit your purpose, you can reconfigure it with suitable inserts, of course. Subsequently, just click your modules together to create a total unit, then combine different units into an overall concept. This allows you to create optimal configurations according to your specific needs – free from any system constraints.
Highly advanced instruments for added value: A new generation of top-notch high-performance instruments rounds off the Level One system. In a basic module sized just 26x26 cm, you’ll find universal tools that can be used for all system components.
Smart Shape plates are based on the 2.3-mm osteosynthesis set. With a thickness of 1.5 mm, they are very thin for a reconstruction plate. Advantage for you: The plates are delivered pre-bent, fitting the anatomy of average patients.
Following bending, the plate receives thermal treatment to restore its homogeneity. This reliably prevents the dreaded microcracks. Besides, Smart Shape plates always retain their perfect shape because the screw holes are drilled only after pre-bending has taken place.
The conventional method is fixation by wire ligature, with the wire tied to the teeth. As, however, tooth-borne solutions are always problem-ridden, we prefer bone-borne applications. To this end, we have developed two different techniques.
The FAMI screw is a self-drilling DRILL-FREE screw with a diameter of 2.0 mm. Here, the ligation wire is anchored in the screw head itself. The optimized shape of the thread ensures fast and easy drilling in of the wire – without any complications.
The Fast Fix IMF system consists of special ligature discs used in conjunction with normal 2.0-mm Centre-Drive or Cross-Drive screws. Bicortical fixation is preferred, using screws with a length of 9 to 15 millimeters. The ligature discs are available in various designs both in titanium and steel.
Large-surface mandibular reconstructions are among the great challenges for surgeons and implant manufacturers alike. With the Thread Lock reconstruction system, Martin has achieved a breakthrough in this field. The system is 100% biocompatible and provides optimal stability. As bending is easy, it can also be perfectly adapted to bone surfaces.
As each hole of the osteosynthesis plate has a thread, the screws can take firm hold. So when inserting the bone screws into the mandible, they simultaneously engage with the thread of the osteosynthesis plate. The result is a highly stable, three-dimensional construction. As the osteosynthesis plate does not exert any pressure on the bone, bone resorption is minimized as well. The latest studies confirm that the Thread Lock reconstruction set provides maximum stability despite the plates’ relatively low cross section and weight.
