For our annual "Latino training" for our distributors from Latin America, we welcomed around 20 participants to our KLS Martin WORLD in Tuttlingen and trained them in the areas of HF and lasers, modular operating theaters as well as OR lights and ceiling pendants. In addition to product presentations, practical workshops and a visit to our shareholder company Karl Leibinger Medizintechnik in Mühlheim were also part of the program.

Day 1 and 2 | Electro and laser surgery

The first two days focused on our electrosurgery units maXium® and maXium® smart C as well as our surgical lasers Limax® and diomax® with their accessories and the respective fields of application. After presentations on theory and strategic aspects, the participants were able to test the individual devices and our various vessel sealing instruments in practice in corresponding workshops. The special focus was on our latest products and innovations, including the maXium® smart C, the marSeal 5 plus Maryland and the thermo-stable laser fibers for VATS .

Day 3 | Visit of Karl Leibinger Medizintechnik

The third day started with a tour of our shareholder company Karl Leibinger Medizintechnik in Mühlheim to give the participants an insight into the production of operating lights. Afterwards, the participants could experience the products in the operating room in the exhibition of our visitor center, test a virtual reality station as well as conduct a workshop with case study.

Day 4 | OR lights and ceiling supply units

On the last day the focused on our new OR light marLED® X. In addition to the presentation of the features and the technical lighting characteristics, the participants had the task to develop a personal sales strategy for the marLED®. The workshop should not only promote the exchange on the new product but also on the market and competition. In addition to the marLED® X, our ceiling pendants were also presented. We would like to thank all participants for their interest and for the stimulating discussions and are already looking forward to the next Latino training course in March 2020.
