The construction of the new production and construction building in Mühlheim is fully on course

The construction work is in full swing. The project is fully on track. In our development and production company Karl Leibinger Medizintechnik (KLM) in Mühlheim an der Donau, a further production and construction building with an area of around 5,300 square metres is currently being built on three levels.

"We are very satisfied with the progress of the project so far. The schedule is currently being adhered to. We assume that the shell of all concrete work will be completed on schedule by the beginning of September," says Christian Leibinger.
Parallel to the completion of the shell, the facades are also to be closed by mid-September. After that, the interior work is on the agenda. With an expected investment sum of 13 million euros, the new building is the largest single investment in the company's more than 100-year history. The latest technologies will be implemented. For example, a highly modern energy concept is implemented. The waste heat from the production facilities is used to air-condition the building. Furthermore, a photovoltaic system is erected on the roof.

The goal is an energy-efficient building. The KfW 55 standard is to be achieved. Extensive insulation measures are to ensure that less heating is required in winter and less cooling in summer.

The construction measures are extensive. For example, temporary parking spaces had to be set up on a neighbouring site. When construction 70 is completed, 60 additional parking spaces will be created in the immediate vicinity. Enough parking space for the 150 employees who will be working in the new building. 85 of these employees are already working for the company.
