KLS Martin OR workshop

Date | December 11-12, 2024

Venue | Freiburg, Germany

Course concept

Welcome to the KLS Martin OR workshop “Banded procedures in bariatric surgery: Indications, techniques, and clinical results”!

The course is specifically designed for surgeons with prior clinical experience in bariatric surgery. It is intended to provide a comprehensive understanding of the latest techniques, technologies, and best practices in the field.

What can you expect from our OR workshop?

Conventional roux y gastric bypass surgery and sleeve gastrectomy are internationally recognized bariatric methods. This workshop, focusing on ring augmentation for both methods, offers a unique opportunity to enhance your skills and stay at the forefront of bariatric surgery.

By attending this workshop, you will gain a deep understanding of ring augmentation for both conventional roux y gastric bypass surgery and sleeve gastrectomy, and receive advanced training that surpasses the introductory courses in bariatric surgery. You will learn about specific indications and surgical techniques for banded procedures, where a banded ring will be applied. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to engage in a thought-provoking discussion on the use of postoperative dumping and weight gain therapy as a redo procedure.
