Our development and production company Karl Leibinger Medizintechnik (KLM) plans to build a new production and construction building with around 5,300 square meters of space on three levels. With an expected investment of 10 million euros, the new building is the largest single investment in more than 100 years of company history.

Building 70, that's the name of the building. Start of construction is spring 2019. The planned construction period is about one year.
Approximately 150 employees will work in the new building. Already 85 of these employees are in the company. But the project does not only mean space for an increase in personnel. KLM also invests in new production facilities, clean room technology and other new technologies, for example in the field of materials science.
The increased space available makes processes even more efficient. Paths are shortened. Room consolidation is carried out. This also benefits departments and processes in the other buildings of the site.
Future-proof room concepts come into the realization. Flexibility is the guiding theme of spatial planning in the production and offices. Working islands are being converted. Data will be available everywhere. Modern lighting and noise concepts are implemented.
Currently, preparatory actions for the start of construction in spring 2019 have already started. For example, two large gas tanks will be relocated and the power supply will be further improved in order to be even more fail-safe and unsusceptible to events.
