Vision and Mission

As one of the leading suppliers in the field of craniomaxillofacial surgery, we have decided to expand our product portfolio to include trauma osteosynthesis systems. In this context, we are developing trauma products in cooperation with internationally experienced and renowned traumatologists, as well as with 41medical.

The aim of the Trauma Research Grant is to offer young and ambitious orthopaedic surgeons and trauma surgeons the opportunity to conduct scientific and clinically relevant research at a high level. Topics from the fields of health economics and management are also welcome.

What is the goal of the program?

The program supports young and ambitious surgeons, especially in practice-oriented research projects.

What can be funded?

  • Research projects that deal with various osteosynthesis methods in the Frame of traumatological patient care
  • Research projects dealing with health economics and management

Applications from specialized trauma centers are expressly welcome.

Who cannot participate in the program?

The primary aim is to support surgeons who have not yet completed their habilitation or are currently working on it. In addition, trauma projects with a focus on craniomaxillofacial surgery are supported by SORG e.V.

How much financial support is available?

The maximum funding is €15,000 per project.

Who decides on the award?

The initial evaluation of the applications is carried out by the Board of the Trauma Research Grant, consisting of:

What framework conditions must be met?

During the project period, milestone reports must be prepared, and if requested by the Advisory Circle, a project presentation may need to be submitted or delivered. For the funding to be granted, a research contract must be concluded between KLS Martin and the clinic or the applicant, the clinic and KLS Martin.

 

When can I expect a decision?

The final award will be made by the end of October of the respective year and will be communicated by the board of the Trauma Research Grant.

 

 

Application Trauma Research Grant

Applications can be submitted in English or German.

The application deadline for the Research Grant is June 30 of the respective year.

The following documents must be submitted:

  • Completed application form
  • List of previous own publications, ideally related to the project
  • List of other own publications
  • Cover letter and letter of support from the supervisor to ensure that the in-house support is provided
  • Curriculum vitae
