IPS Implants® Epithesis Base

Individual Patient Solutions

IPS Implants® Epithesis Base

In daily interactions with others, the face serves as the most prominent external feature. Trauma or reconstructive procedures can result in the loss of facial features. An epithesis can help restore the patient's original appearance as closely as possible.

The IPS Implants® Epithesis Base is a scaffold implant equipped with integrated mounting points for screw-in magnets to which an epithesis can be securely attached. The bone anchorage, framework structure, and positioning of the magnet mounts can be customized during planning.

The implant is manufactured using a laser melting process with 3D technology. Depending on the case, intraoperative drilling and marking guides are available for optimal implant placement.

Fields of application

  • Reconstruction of bone structures after destruction/deformation by, for example, tumors, ulcers, cysts, traumas, infections or rejection reactions
  • Reconstruction in cases of congenital deformations
  • Cosmetic surgery

For this reason a separate inquiry is necessary in every IPS® case.

The written prescription is a release for the technical offer (design of the products). This is to be submitted in writing by the user at the same time as the required order for the economic offer if he/she agrees with the desired case planning.

Shipment is not permissible as a matter of principle without this mandatory regulatory document.
