E-learning, webinars and podcasts are already widely used by end consumers and in other industries, but only sporadically in medicine - at least until the start of the corona pandemic. After 25 webinars with 14,172 participants from 52 countries and an average satisfaction rate of 9.2 out of 10 points, we share our impressions of the webinar format with you and give a glimpse into the future.
In the course of his summer tour, Baden-Württemberg's Minister President Winfried Kretschmann visited us today together with District Administrator Stefan Baer, Lord Mayor Michael Beck and representatives of the Ministry of State and Medical Mountains. Under the motto "Digitalization and Individualization in Medical Technology", the joint product development with clinical users, challenges of the European Medical Device Directive for medicine and medium-sized companies as well as the shortage of skilled workers in rural areas were discussed.
After treated radius fractures, in some cases malposition occurs which can lead to reduced strength, pain and decreased mobility. Similar limitations can be also seen in congenital malposition cases. Besides the standard treatment of radius malunion, we also offer patient-specific solutions for the distal radius reconstruction.
After a 15-month construction period and a previous intensive 18-month planning phase, the new production and construction building of Karl Leibinger Medizintechnik GmbH & Co. KG (part of the KLS Martin Group) in Mühlheim on the Danube was inaugurated. Just in time before the summer holidays, the final work was completed and the machinery and workplaces were moved.
With effect of May 1st, 2020, the Mühlheim-based medical technology company Karl Leibinger has taken over the major business operations of Stuckenbrock Medizintechnik and its shares in the company Gebrüder Martin. All Stuckenbrock employees, the relevant production equipment and the products distributed by Gebrüder Martin will be taken over. The location in Lessingstraße in Tuttlingen will also be retained. Business operations will be conducted under the new company name KLS Martin Medical GmbH & Co. KG.
