The planning process of a custom-made IPS® implant is based on a simple and efficient interaction with the user via the IPS Gate®. The IPS Gate® enables efficient and intuitive guidance through the entire process. Planning, manufacturing and shipping are all managed in one system, eliminating the need for coordinating multiple service providers. For the user this results in maximum efficiency, flexibility and functionality.

Various planning options allow optimal anatomical reconstruction of the malpositions.

The custom-made implants are based on the patient's individual CT data and are already checked at the factory for optimal three-dimensional accuracy of fit. The latest manufacturing technologies such as additive manufacturing allow complete flexibility in implant design.

Thanks to computer-based preoperative planning, functionalized custom-made drill- and marking guides and implants can be implemented in the surgery with unprecedented precision. The guides and implants enable the safe transfer of the virtual planning to the operating room. Anatomical models are excellent visual aids and also serve to confirm that the guides and plate fit as planned.
